Event Overview
The stages you will visit

The Launchpad
Teo Otto Theater
Game-changing cleantech start-ups need to scale to fulfill their potential. The Launchpad showcases high-impact innovators who have successfully done so and, together with co-host EIT InnoEnergy, discusses the financial and policy tools needed to replicate these successes.
The Heavy Industry Stage
Gründerquartier
The Heavy Industry Stage brings together representatives of the producers of vital but emissions-intensive products and services, such as steel, cement, and heavy-duty transport to discuss what it will take to decarbonize them.
The Effective Policy Stage
City Hall
Global technological advances are imperative to reach net-zero. Together with UNIDO and UNFCCC, the Effective Policy Stage brings together policy-makers and stakeholders to discuss the requirements for sustainable cross-governmental collaboration and technological transfer.

Who we are
FCA is a non-profit cleantech thinktank working to close the remaining innovation gaps in order to reach net-zero emissions by 2050. Together with UNIDO ITPO Germany, FCA launched the UNIDO Global Call for Innovative Solutions in Cleantech and Sustainable Land Management in 2021 with the aim of identifying innovators with deployable and scalable solutions to combat the negative effects of climate change.
The award ceremony of the global call, held in Remscheid’s Teo Otto Theatre, was flanked by panel discussions, one on breakthrough innovation and one on decarbonizing heavy industry, that allowed attending guests of the ceremony to discuss the most pressing climate challenges and their solutions in smaller groups. Building on the success of these events, FCA will host ARC – a cleantech innovation festival – in the summer of 2022.
Together with international partners and co-hosts from the public and private sphere, ARC brings together the brightest minds and best ideas in cleantech worldwide. Four stages, each focusing on accelerating high-impact ideas across cleantech innovation, will give attendees the opportunity to discuss the most effective technologies, policy approaches, and financial ideas to drive down emissions drastically.
The ARC – igniting cleantech innovation worldwide.
